MX
Marine designs, manufactures and markets DGPS and GPS
products for the commercial market, with more than 30 years
experience, starting with the Transit SatNav system. The
first MX100 GPS navigation system was introduced more than
15 years ago by Magnavox. Since then, MX Marine has
introduced the MX 200, MX 300, MX 400 and now MX 420 GPS and
DGPS Navigation system with MX 421B-10, MX 521, and MX 525
smart antennas. In
addition to these commercial DGPS systems, the group
developed and installed the first Beacon DGPS reference
station. MX Marine Beacon system networks include the MX
4200, MX 9212, MX 9400N Navigators, MX 9112, MX 9400R
Reference Stations and Navigators, MX 50 Beacon Modulator
and MX 52R, MX 41R Demodulators. More than 70 Beacon DGPS
Reference Stations have been supplied by MX Marine all over
the world. These systems are now in operation in MX
Marine also launched the first type approved AIS system with
its MX 420 display. AIS systems have been supplied for
commercial ships all over the world. Now MX Marine is
offering a Trinity solution to meet three IMO requirements,
GPS, AIS and secondary heading using the MX 420 display, MX
575 DGPS Compass, and MX 535 AIS. The MX 575 DGPS compass
provides heading as well as type approved Navigation. Most
MX Marine products are type approved by BSH, Germany. In
1994 Leica acquired MX Marine group from Magnavox and in
1997 acquired the Ap Navigator business from Phillips. With
this acquisition, MX Marine is able to serve the high end
leisure market with the Ap brand products
in addition to the Type approved market with the MX brand.
